About Guardian Angel
A registered non-governmental organization serving the people of Nagaland since 1991.
Three decades of service in Nagaland
Guardian Angel was established in 1991 in Dimapur, the commercial gateway of Nagaland, by a group of concerned citizens who saw that many families living with disability or serious illness had nowhere to turn. The organization was formally registered on 28 October 1991 under Registration No. RS 1660.
In the years that followed, the spread of HIV/AIDS in the North-East made our work more urgent. Guardian Angel broadened its focus to include HIV/AIDS awareness, counselling and support, while continuing its work on disability and community development.
Today, we work across Dimapur and neighbouring districts of Nagaland, combining direct support to individuals with long-term community development that helps families stand on their own.

To promote sustainable development by empowering persons with disabilities, people affected by HIV/AIDS and vulnerable communities through awareness, care, rehabilitation, skill development and partnership.

Rooted in Dimapur, reaching across Nagaland
From our office on Circular Road, Dimapur, our teams reach urban wards, peri-urban settlements and rural villages. We work closely with district health and social welfare offices, schools, churches and village councils.
